Summary Article: The Role of Mahdism in Dismantling Atheism

This study discusses the importance of Mahdism in dismantling atheism, which is considered a plague overtaking the entire planet and its societies.
This paper also moves on to discuss the fundamental factor of belief and its subcategorization, as the belief in Imamate and in the concealed Imam, without whom, the major part of the pure Islamic theology would have been forgotten.
On the other front, the current study sheds some light on atheism, its history, reasons, and its great figures in early Islamic era as well as in modern times. It also discusses the disastrous consequence of atheism and the vacuum it causes in spiritual and practical life.
The study, next, moves to propose the proper way to encounter atheism by following the pure instructions narrated from Ahlulbait, especially that of Mahdism. Imam Al-Mahdi’s future policy will be filling out the hollow grounds caused by atheism.
Thus, the method of this study is inductive, comparative, and analytic.
